  1. I got attacked! Can I submit my logs?
No! Since there is no way to verify logfiles provided by a third party we only use data collected from hosts that we control (root access). This is especially important since we also report attacks to the responsible party and publish the attacking IP on a public blacklist.

  2. I got blacklisted, how can I delist the IP(s)?
    Please continue reading here.

  3. I like the project! How can I contribute?
The best way to help the project is if you (or your company) can donate a small virtual host. As described here the host just needs a minimum of resources, leaving only a small footprint. As for traffic, just the normal internet background noise plus a little traffic for reporting attacks and SSH management tasks, so it basically can be ignored. In general it is not the number of hosts that matter but the number of IPs from different /16 - /20 networks. The more IPs the better the overall coverage and detection of attacks.
If you can not support us with a (virtual) server, maybe you have some money to burn which we can use to rent more servers ourselves. The more server/IPs, the better our service!

  4. Why should I support you? What do I get in return?
Maybe the best "why" simply is "because you can" and to feel good about it. ;-) As an incentive we also add a link to your homepage for all donated servers to our front page and it stays there as long as the server stays online = free advertising! If that isn't enough we are currently in the process of adding premium services. All individuals or companies who support us with a (virtual) server get free access to those services, again, as long as the server stays online.

  5. There are only IPv4 addresses on the list. Don't you support IPv6?
We are fully IPv6 enabled but the lists and the reporting currently only handle IPv4 since most of our hosts do not have a IPv6 address and also because there basically are no attacks against IPv6 targets worth mentioning, at least not yet. Once that changes there will be two types of lists, the current lists stay as they are but we will add additional lists for IPv6 and maybe/probably even a combined one.
